Kyra Minturn
Kyraminturn Sedgwick was born August 19th, 1965. She is an American actor and producer. Her most well-known role is that of the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was honored with a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. In the final season of the show, Sedgwick was awarded a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in the year 2010. The series ended on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her regular role as Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was awarded an Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline Wuntch in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film credits include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) The Cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who was an therapist for speech and family as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV Venture capitalist. She was born in New York City. Her mother was Jewish and her father was an Episcopalian and of English descent. Sedgwick is a self-described Jewish, and she has claimed that she attends at Passover seders.
